I'm not sure what to think of Ms Dyne's reaction to my 'plan' ... or rather my statement of intent ... for Felina, but she endorsed it and by Bastet, I'm not going to pry into her mind to find out why and risk ticking her off.

She, like Jake, isn't a Psi, not like me at any rate, but they do have power, a lot of it, and she seems very sensitive to being touched. Of course, given her choice of profession and position, I can hardly blame her for being sensitive to being scanned.

She has more secrets to hide than even he does, and more to lose if they become known to the wrong parties, particularly her second in command. I do not profess to know him well, but I know him well enough to have a good idea just how badly he'd react to several truths she keeps from him.

They are so different from this lovely creature sleeping in my arms, yet she is little less dangerous when riled. She does take after her family after all. She is a Feral, blood, heart and soul.

And she has no concept just how lovely she is, and in more than just form. It's quite endearing.

Yes, being an Hyena I have a serious predisposition for tall, well built mates. Females especially I really prefer to have some muscle on strong bones.

And that's a good description of Felina Feral.

Granted she's lost a lot of her primal looks, but still, the long, slightly wavy black hair, shiny as obsidian and deep chocolate brown fur ... she's very lovely.

But her tail ... okay, I'm a Hyena, I have this little snub of a tail I usually don't even bother to remember, so after living with all these Kats for years, I have something of a kink for them.

And Felina, she has this thick, silky brown waterfall of a tail. Just thinking about it is enough to make me swell, wet and ready for her.

Kind of pathetic, really.

But when you hear and feel what others are really thinking, a fixation on looks has its logic. After all, looks don't really lie. Not like voices do at any rate.

For all it's extremely useful, there are days I wish I didn't see inside other's minds quite so easily.

And back to Felina we come.

She's actually pretty honest.

Sure, she fudges and lies outright sometimes, but on the whole she says what she means, and does what she thinks is right.

I cannot even begin to explain how pleasant that is after years in Cathedral where even the honest ones have five layers of meaning behind their words by necessity.

It makes me regret what I had to do to her mind, wiping her memories of Cathedral and rewriting others about Jake. And okay, I cheated. I dropped a few memories of us being good friends and the information to back it up.

But it's just good friends. No sexual content at all. I will earn that. She's been manipulated too much already, I couldn't ad rape on top of it, even if she never realized it. I care about her too much.

But damn, it's hard not to just make her want it. Cathedral really has corrupted me. There was a time I could never even consider what I did; now it's the least of what I consider an option, at least for most.

Maybe you'll make an honest woman out of me yet, Felina Feral.
