For much the same reasons as Warnings, please include the Category(s) the story belongs under. Many stories will fall under several categories, please list all appropriate. What Plot? Romance RPG Technology/ Philosophy *** Category Descriptions: Alternate World: The Series (or a large chuck of it) did not happen but the characters we know are there. This can be taken almost anywhere, from what they did in Dark Side of The SWAT Kats to a complete historical rewrite where Callie is a SWAT Kat from the beginning to Jake and Chance never got kick of the Enforcers and SWAT is an official unit. It would be good to include a quick orientation either in the part 0 post or as part 1 so everybody understands what is going on. Alternate Fate: The Series did happen, but the story is about another residence(s) of the world, not the major ones from the show. Examples would include stories about Chop Shop (or any villain) that does not directly involve the major players, Enforcers we don't know the names of, the lives of kats that have to survive this but aren't intentionally on the front line. Burn Your Face Off: Stories that are particularly sexually intense/arousing, above and beyond the norm for NC-17. Challenge responses: This story was written in response to a CHALLENGE posting (see above). They will almost all have a second category. Crossovers: Kat's meet ... Just mention the other series involved. Drama: The stock and trade of the show. Episode Related: A story that directly continues, rewrites or fills in the gaps in an existing episode. Please mention what episode(s). Filk: You make up your own words to an already-existing song. First Times: A relationship between major characters has a major breakthrough of some kind (good or bad). History: Stories set before the Series begins. Holiday stories: Stories written with a holiday in mind and obvious. Humor: Funny stories, not to be taken seriously.
