Otherwise, what a sound theory. I need to learn some > technobabble too... Actually, with this time-travel idea of seeing the future, I've done my fair share of messing with the idea. I'm currently in the process of writing a SK fanfic by the name of Beautiful Dreamer that deals with this subject in a lot of detail. The idea that I came up with was that time might notbe as ridgid as one might think if done right. With the episode of the SWAT Kats meeting an untimely death comes two ideas that I've thought of: 1. The SWAT Kats might not have died in the ep. First of all, you don't ever really see if they're in the jet. By this time in the future, the SWAT Kats might have been able to totally operate their jet by a form of remote control. They already have that technology as seen in Mutation City when Razor signals the jet to come to his location after getting T-Bone pinned to the wall. (some time after that...) And also, they would have fair warning about their death from seeing it in the future, so the average kat would prolly take steps to save themselves from their own demise. So in that notion, the possiblity of them even being in the jet at the time of it's collision with City Hall is actually quite minimal. The second thing being is that if the SWAT Kats met up with the Pastmaster BEFORE he had the chance to mess up the past and defeat him for all eternity, then the likelihood of them getting knocked off when they did would be reduced to nothing, as a (slightly) older Pastmaster would have needed to revive the Metallikats. The younger years of the Pastmaster would have remained unchanged which thereforemeans that he hadn't thougt of the idea yet to the point of implication (or else he would have done it earlier I'm sure). But in that same light, anything that the Pastmaster should have done after the SWAT Kats killed him would change their future again. This would be most noticable in the past (or in the future) where when they travel back into their own time, they would see the results instantaneously (If they were in their own time, it would be less noticable such as occurrances in past history would change and they would only know the past as it was, and then the future events might be radically differant if they had seen that point in time of the change in the future) so it's kinda a double-edged sword to kill him before he kills them. (anybody confused yet?) Well anyway, that's part of what I've messed with (I'll spare you all from the drawn out stuff)... questions or comments are most welcome. -- .;$@M###MX/. -X#$;- =%M; -@% .HH =#+ - ,M= -M; .@+ - .HM ;% .@; H% .@%. ++ H+ ,/XMH %X .@/ +@. -/= %X ,$M%;$+ ;@. ;. .@/ ,+M$. .$MHH =@. .=, ,M/ ,M, =- ,#- .; X%..-/$M@+, ,@%. =- .M-,$MXH +X--.
