The TurboKat flies significantly faster than current fighters, and outboard stores would add significantly to drag. Drag increases with the square of the velocity. BTW, the SEPECAT Jaguar can carry missiles on over-wing pylons... Ed -- In the ep that starts out with the SK's in their centrifuge contraption, they state they were at Mach 5 for like, 10, 15 seconds. Mach 5 is equal to 3,805 MPH. It would make more sense if their heads were ripping off. The centrifuge should have had covers on the front, sealed and pressureized. The only machine that has ever gone faster than Mach 5 is the NASA X-15 rocketplane, attaining a top speed of Mach 6.5. It also reached an altitude record of 365,000 feet. It seems wierd that a fighter could go faster than Mach 2, only a SR-71 could do Mach 3.5. Lets guess that the TK goes in the range of Mach 2.5, which is a little faster than a F-14.
