Subject: |SKML| Fan Fiction Internationals Date: Mon, 19 Oct 1998 21:25:26 -0400 From: The SK Enthusiasts Club Online Reply-To: swatkats@PEAK.ORG Organization: TSKECO To: SKML Thanks to Rauhnee Ranshanka, we have updates our contest rules, which go as follows: Fan Fiction Internationals Here's how this works: You, the public, send in your submissions or nominees, we will list which fanfics are in. After 20 pieces of work have been submitted/nominated, you, the public, will select the best fan fiction by way of the form. Whoever gets the most votes wins 'The Readers Choice'. Whatever fanfic gets the most points from the judges, it wins 'The Judges Pick. Simple as stealing candy from a kitten? Send your nominees/submissions to (mailto:SendTskeco@geocities.com). Thanks! Contest Rules: 1. We, the judges, will not nominate any of our own work or submit any of our work, even under an alias. We cannot nominate or submit any of our friends work. If someone nominates a piece of work one of the judges did, the judge cannot give their opinion on it. That is what we call "Fair Play". 2. You may NOT, under any circumstances, submit or nominate any adult work. If it's okay for your kid sister to read, then it's fine for us. It's called "General Audiences", "No Age Hinderance". 3. You, the reader, may NOT submit several times when voting for a fan fiction, even under aliases. We can track your IP number, so please don't do that. It's called "Not Stuffing the Box". 4. We, the judges, will give our honest opinions on a fan fiction. We will not try to give any one a clear advantage over another, again, "Fair Play". 5. You must submit or nominate a story before the 27th of each month. Drawing ends on the 30th of each month. Winners will be notified via email. 6. You can only submit work that you have done. You can only nominate work that someone else has done. You must ask the author of the story you plan to nominate for permission BEFORE you nominate. You also must write a statement that you have asked permission, along with the permission email from the author. It may seem stupid, but it actually helps us from getting in the frying pan. 7. No adult, blood, guts, stories that contain adult language, situations, and/or violence are NOT ACCEPTED. They must be okay enough to read to a roomful of preschoolers! It's strict, but it's just a boundary of peacekeeping. 8. The winner of 'The Judges Pick' will get to choose a topic for the fanfics to be nominated. The winner of 'The Readers Choice' will have the fun of making a rough idea of a new fanfic for the submissions, in which every new entry will have to make a variation of it. 9. Winners names and email addresses will be put on this page each month. Thanks TSKECO Staff ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Do not meddle in the affairs of the SWAT Kats, . for they well armed and destined to win. Do not meddle in the affairs of our Commander, . for he has a blaster and knows how to use it.
