Why's that then? Statistics show that there are literally millions of
planets capable of supporting life in our little group of galaxies alone;
isn't it possible that cats might evolve into a sentient life form on one of
'em?

As the immortal Shakespeare wrote somewhere in Hamlet: "There are more
things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in thy philosophy" (I love
this quote, and use it at every opportunity)  ^-.o^

I can't remember where I read this, but the guy who wrote "When Strikes
Mutilor" originally meant the Aquians to be wearing space suits that
completely covered them, and at the end when the SKs had left, they removed
their helmets and were revealed as being humans, with the ol'
Stars'n'Stripes hanging in the background ... but unfortunately this idea
was rejected by his bosses ... a shame really, 'cause it would've nailed the
SK's world question ...
