The original was NTSC and therefore had 525 lines interlaced with 60 Hz, it had to be converted to PAL with 625 lines interlaced and 50Hz. Therefore some images have to be mixed, in order to get 50Hz. I bet amateur equipment is a lot better with those images. There is another phenomena where 2 different images are interlaced. The only wiered thing about that image is the resolution. Framegrabbers for PAL usually have 384x288 or 768x576 or a combination of those resolutions. By the way the quality is verry good, I bet it's a Miro card or some cheap framegrabber with the Bt848 chip. The grabber doesn't seem to support hardware compression. If somebody is interrested, I have a programm to get out the noise of still images. It works GREAT.
